The Younger Years at the plate

Reds 12 – Batter’s Box 2 The Bristol Partners Reds bested Batter’s Box by a score of 12-2 in their season opener at Fox Run.  After Batter’s Box had jumped to a 1-0 lead, clutch hitting by Matt Evans, Will Tingley and #AndrewKnight plated four runs for the Reds in the second inning.  The Reds offense erupted for eight runs in the game’s final two frames, highlighted by a two-run blast by Robby Jones over the centerfield fence.  Reds pitchers Matt Lynch, Jones and Chris Reik scattered two hits over five innings, collecting 10 strikeouts in the contest.  Reik ended the game with a nifty pickoff play at second base.
